As well as providing an opportunity to raise awareness of cancer in New Zealand, Daffodil Day is a major funding source for the Cancer Society. The Fishpond team contributes their time with collection appeals as part of this annual event. Eat My LunchWith 1 in 4 children right here in New Zealand living in poverty and going without lunch every day, Eat My Lunch hopes to alleviate this nationwide issue by creating a change through something as routine as eating lunch. Eat My Lunch provides the opportunity to buy one lunch for ourselves and another one will be sent to a child right here in New Zealand who can't afford their own. Auckland Rescue Helicopter TrustSupporting the Greater Auckland and Coromandel communities with emergency medical or search & rescue support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter trust spans over 40 years in operation, performing many thousands of rescues. Totara HospiceA supportive and caring organisation, who has been assisting with palliative care needs throughout the South and the South East Auckland community for over 30 years. Fishpond regularly donates reading material to the Manukau Hospice team, for all patients and visitors to enjoy during often what can be a challenging time. New Zealand Breast Cancer FoundationThe NZBCF is New Zealand's foremost breast cancer education and awareness organization. The foundation was specifically established to educate all New Zealanders on the lifesaving benefits of early detection and the importance of mammograms, affecting one in nine New Zealand women over their lifetime. Each year Fishpond, hosts a Pink Ribbon Morning tea for the team enabling the team to make donations to the foundation. SchoolsFishpond is extremely committed to working with local schools by supporting various galas, fundraising initiatives and book donations. Since the company's foundation in 2004, Fishpond has supported over 200 schools throughout New Zealand. |
