  • Four years in the making, Alejandro Fernndez's Rompiendo Fronteras ("Breaking Borders") is the Mexican superstar's most radical album. Produced by Aureo Baqueiro (Thalia, Paulina Rubio, Sin Bandera), this date mixes not only the Latin pop and rancheras that have made Fernandez an international superstar, but also delves into sierreo music and reggaeton. The set's tracks were written mainly by hitmakers Joss Favela and Pablo Preciado, but popular composers Leonel Garca, Gianmarco, and Mario Domm all contribute songs here as well. Also included on the date are collaborations with Colombian bands Morat (the reggaeton single "S Que Te Duele") and Cali & El Dandee. ~ Thom Jurek
