There are few types of musical timbres more soothing and soulful than the sound of an Indian bansuri flute. On this 2007 release, master bansurist Pandit Ronu Majumdar plays mesmerizing ragas with the gentle percussive accompaniment of tabla and pakhavaj. The music is intended to be listened to, but also makes for a supportive background environment for meditation, yoga, massage, or peaceful dining.
