Throughout, Bridgewater uplifts Silver's lyrics, proves to be in prime form, and swings up a storm. Other high points include "Filthy McNasty," "Doodlin'," and "Blowin' the Blues Away."
Professional Reviews
Musician (1/96, p.91) - "...the best jazz vocal release of the year. Bridgewater transforms...classic Silver tunes...into future jazz standards....[and] taps into Silver's soulfulness. She knows she doesn't have to force the funk, and one of the album's delights is her understated approach..."
