Ikäni on 56 vuotta. Tätä nykyä asun Petäjävedellä, missä olen syntynytkin. Asuin välillä pari kymmenen vuoden jaksoa Jyväskylässä opiskelujen ja töiden takia.Väittelin Olof Lagercrantzin lyriikasta vuonna 1997. Kirjoittamista olen harrastanut koulupojasta lähtien.
