Reviews

“very thorough…excellent”—ARBA; “Melton and Hornick put together a volume that will spare future vampire enthusiasts and scholars who are studying this mythical figure and its sociocultural background a long research session at the library. Their comprehensive bibliography features more than six thousand entries of English-language secondary sources of the vampire myth as it has been portrayed in print and visual media from 1800 to 2013. A major auxiliary research source for the newly formed discipline of vampire studies and for the fields of English, comparative literature, film studies, cultural and ethnic area studies and folklore”—H-Net Reviews; “lists some 6,000 books and articles…a checklist for collectors and libraries”—Communications Booknotes Quarterly.
