Janene Cooper was an inspirational educator and senior educational manager, who worked as an Education Consultant based in Auckland. A Dog like That! was a finalist in the 2011 New Zealand Post Children s Book Awards and also won a Storylines Notable Book Award in 2011. Evie Kemp is a graduate of AUT University in Auckland, where she studied graphic design and illustration. Primarily a textile artist, she was a finalist for the 2011 LIANZA Russell Clark Award for illustration for A Dog like That ."
