About the Author

Mario ERASMO is Professor of Classics at the University of Georgia. He is the author of several books on the cultural history of Italy and the legacy of Classical Antiquity including Reading Death in Ancient Rome (2008), and Death: Antiquity And Its Legacy (2012) with extensive experience teaching and leading tours throughout Italy, France, and the UK.
