Reaching the Limits of Power and Growth. Man-houng Lin is Professor at the Institute of Modern History, Academia Sinica. James Chin Shih is Associate Professor of Chinese Language and History at Washington University, St. Louis. David A. Pietz is Professor of Chinese History and Director of the Global Studies Program at the University of Arizona, where he also holds the UNESCO Chair in Environmental History.
