Maureen Wright lives with her husband, Don, in Athens,
Pennsylvania, where bears occasionally lumber across their
property. They have three grown sons, two grandsons, and two cats
named Juanita and Squirt. They also dog-sit their son's black lab,
Gus. He thinks he's a lapdog and likes to get in the way while
Maureen is writing stories. Her other celebrated titles include
Earth Day, Birthday; Barnyard Fun; Grumpy Groundhog; Go to Sleep,
Maddie!; and Don't Wake the Croc!
Will Hillenbrand and his wife, Jane, live in Cincinnati, Ohio, and
have one grown son. Will grew up listening to stories that people
recounted in his father's barbershop. As he drew pictures of the
stories he heard, he discovered that illustration was another form
of storytelling. He has illustrated, or written and illustrated,
more than fifty titles, including Down by the Barn, Off We Go, Bear
in Love, Snowman's Story, Mother Goose Picture Puzzles, and the
Bear and Mole series.
