"All readers of Frost's poetry ought to thank Professors Tuten and
Zubizarreta for their scrupulous work in producing this worthy
Encyclopedia. Spot checks have led to new discoveries and no
disappointments so far. Frost has a way of going along at the
simplest of gaits when--bam!--he'll hit you with something like
iota subscript, ' eolith palladium, ' Rogers group, ' a poem with a
different rhyme scheme in every stanza, rainbows at night, darkness
by day, quotations from Christopher Marlowe and Havelock Ellis and
Sir Noel Coward; it helps to be equipped with a lot of reference
books. This looks like one of the handiest. The fact is, indeed,
the sweetest dream that labor knows, and you will find thousands of
useful facts here."-William Harmon James Gordon Hanes Professor in
the Humanities University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
