Roger Harvey was born in Newcastle in 1953 and has written in a wide variety of media from novels to radio commercials. In addition to his American adventures, his activities as a performance poet have taken him around Britain and, more recently, to Germany where he has been guest reader in various Universities. He has won a number of literary prizes and creative awards. His published works include the novels Percy the Pigeon, The Silver Spitfire, and A Woman who Lives by the Sea, the award-winning poetry cassette-book Northman's Prayer, and the subsequent collections Raising the Titanic and Divided Attention. He wrote and directed the film of his original play Guinevere-Jennifer; his latest stage works, the farce Money! Money! Money! and the pantomime Sam Seal's Undersea Adventure have toured the North of England; and his poems, stories, and articles continue to be published in British and American magazines.
