He is a Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where for the past 20 years he has been conducting research to develop new medications that treat substance-use disorders. For many years, Dr. Bisaga has served as an UN expert panel member; recently, he edited the UN/WHO International Standards for the Treatment of Drug Use Disorders.
