About the Author

Gabriela Riveros es licenciada en Letras Españolas del Tecnológico de Monterrey y tiene Maestría en Humanidades de la Universidad de Monterrey. Estudió cursos de literatura comparada y psicología (en la Universidad de Harvard, La Sorbona y en la Universidad Iberoamericana). Su literatura ha obtenido más de una docena de premios nacionales e internacionales y se ha publicado en antologías y revistas de España, Argentina, Colombia, Alemania y Estados Unidos. Su libro de cuentos Ciudad mía (1998) obtuvo el Premio Internacional Universidad Externado de Colombia, y el cuento "Ven por chile y sal@, el Premio Literario de la Deutsche Welle de Alemania 1995. Incursionó en la literatura infantil con El encargo de Fernanda, Mi hermano Paco, Don Florencio de Polvorín y El secreto de los asteriscos. Actualmente es profesora de Escritura Creativa del Tecnológico de Monterrey.
