Anthony Horowitz has been writing since the age of eight, and
professionally since the age of twenty. In addition to the highly
successful Alex Rider books, he is also the writer and creator of
award winning detective series Foyle’s War, and more recently event
drama Collision, among his other television works he has written
episodes for Poirot, Murder in Mind, Midsomer Murders and Murder
Most Horrid. Anthony became patron to East Anglia Children’s
Hospices in 2009.
Mark A. Cooper author of the Jason Steed series has been compared
to Anthony Horowitz (readers have actually theorized it's Horowitz
using a pseudonym).
On 19 January 2011, the estate of Arthur Conan Doyle announced that
Horowitz was to be the writer of a new Sherlock Holmes novel, the
first such effort to receive an official endorsement from them and
to be entitled the House of Silk. Paul Panting is a British actor
and voiceover artist, known for roles in EastEnders, Silent Witness
and Doctors. He has provided voice acting skills for television
shows including The Octonauts, Bob the Builder and Watership Down,
as well as various video games. Paul has also narrated over 40
audiobooks in a wide variety of genres. Kerry Shale is a
Canadian-born actor, voice actor, radio actor, singer and writer
based in the UK. He has narrated many television documentaries for
the US and UK, including 1959: The Year That Changed Jazz and
Shadows of Liberty. Shale's many audiobooks include the Jack
Reacher series by Lee Child as well as Life of Pi (Reader of the
Year, APA Awards), Slumdog Millionaire (Audie Award Winner, Best
Male Reader) and The White Tiger, winner of the Man Booker prize.
