About the Author

Michael Theunissen is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Freie Universitt Berlin. He is the author of many books, including Vorentwrfe von Moderne: Antike Melancholie und die Acedia des Mitterlalter and Negative Theologie der Zeit.
