About the Author

Katharina Nickel zog mit 19 nach Berlin und studierte im Bachelor Germanistik und Erziehungswissenschaften an der Universität Potsdam. Als Digital Immigrant konnte sie die Umwälzungen in der Medienbranche in diversen Redaktionen hautnah miterleben, so etwa beim Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb), Berliner Stadtmagazin zitty und im Ressort Kultur und Medien von Süddeutsche.de. Es folgte zuletzt ein Masterstudium des Kultur- und Medienmanagements. Ihr Interessensgebiet ist das Spannungsfeld von Medienunternehmen im digitalen Zeitalter zwischen redaktionell Innovativem und betriebswirtschaftlich Machbarem. Die Journalistin und Medienmanagerin lebt im Berliner Stadtteil Wedding.
