"Joe Simpson Walker writes intriguing stories with vivid backgrounds and characters you can really identify with." - Josephine Scott, erotic authoress **** "Note-perfect in its period detail, Jeanette recaptures and broadens with a sly 21st century eye the grimy excitement of the pulp fiction of the era in which it is set. In its depiction of mental instability and sexual extremes, the novel achieves a balance of vision that is the result of deeply felt experience. Satirical and surreal, this is a work as provocative as it is unique." - Quentin S. Crisp
