Mark Sperring worked as a printer before becoming a bookseller, and later becoming a children's book author. He lives in Bristol. Alison Brown studied Fine Art at Liverpool and was a graphic designer before becoming an illustrator. Alison was brought up in Bangor, Northern Ireland and now lives in Leeds.
