About the Author

Dorian has worked as a journalist and editor and has studied nutrition and exercises relating to diabetes for more than ten years. Shifrine received his degree from the University of California, Davis. He has worked at the USDA in Kenya, the Haskins Laboratory in New York, and has served as Full Professor of Immunology and Microbiology at the University of California, Davis.
