Yale and Oxford universities. For ten years she worked as a

Sir Gadabout stories, and, of course, as his own stories. Tony has
become one of the best-known creators of original and traditional
picture books and his work has been sold all over the world.
"A book that is sure to cause an outbreak of giggles." --
Bookjourney
"As horrid a child as he is, Henry still manages to be strangely
endearing." -- Everead
"Chapter book readers can't go wrong with Horrid Henry hilarity -
at Christmas or any other time of year!" -- BookLoons
"Henry is really and truly horrid... and through use of his
horridness, your child(ren) will be drawn in and giggling in no
time!" -- Katie's Literature Lounge
"Henry's penchant for trouble pins him up against Perfect Peter who
scored the best part in the school's Christmas play. This and three
other yarns will keep all yawns at bay." -- LA Parent
"Horrid Henry is a hit with independent readers." -- 1330V
"In this installment in a best-selling chapter-book series from the
U.K., self-centered Horrid Henry wreaks total havoc at the Nativity
play, destroys the Christmas tree, and almost ruins the holiday
lunch. His irreverent actions are made tolerable through the
ridiculousness of the incidents and the appeal to the naughty side
in readers' personalities. Ross's mischievous black-and-white
cartoon drawings are the perfect choice to carry them off. Large
print and simple vocabulary make this title an easy read and a fun
read-aloud. Booktalk it with Barbara Robinson's The Best Christmas
Pageant Ever (HarperCollins, 1972)." -- School Library Journal
"It's sure to delight even the toughest scrooge. Horrid Henry never
disappoints and your young readers will enjoy finding this under
the tree right next to a mega-sized Waterblaster or Space Howler."
-- Examiner.com

and movies like "A Christmas Story" and "Simon Birch." Each story
is lovingly illustrated by Tony Ross, whose depictions of Henry and
his family are reminiscent of Roald Dahl." -- Examiner.com

stories make it great for reluctant readers. Francesca Simon and
Tony Ross (Illustrator) are genius!" -- SMS Book Reviews
