About the Author
Peter F. Klarén is professor emeritus of History and International Affairs at The George Washington University where he taught for over 40 years. He directed GWU’s Latin American Studies Program from 1987-1994. He has also taught at Dartmouth College, Johns Hopkins University (SAIS), Georgetown University, Washington State University and the University of California, Irvine. He has published 3 books and published numerous articles and chapters in various books and journals.
This work provides a useful introduction to all things Peruvian.
Information is brief and clearly written. The number of
prehistoric, historic, and modern entries are well balanced.
Beginning researchers can easily browse this volume or go directly
to specific entries of interest. This historical dictionary will be
useful in high school and academic libraries. It is available in
paper and as an e-book at a relatively affordable price.
