Reviews

`Review from previous edition [India in the World Economy is] a fascinating volume to be read by everyone who wants to understand the country and ask: where is India going? ... Some chapters succeed better than others. All of them, however, contain deep analysis that displays a master at work.'
Sumit K Majumdar, THES, 21/1/00
`I believe the book [The Political Economy of Poverty, Equity, and Growth] to be essential reading for every serious analyst of development ... it is packed with thought-provoking ideas, evidence and discussion.'
Development Policy Review
`The insights gained [from The Political Economy of Poverty, Equity, and Growth] constitute a richer explanation for the divergent development outcomes in East Asia compared with Latin America and Africa.'
