That spirit of adventure and curiosity often finds its way into his illustrations through quirky characters and hidden surprises. After spending a decade in Philadelphia and New York pursuing his artistic dreams, David has moved back to the familiar surroundings of Michigan. Now, when he's not drawing and painting, he still enjoys a good romp through the woods. Gabe Wicks grew up in Huntsville, Alabama but relocated to Nashville to attend Vanderbilt University. After graduating with a specialty in Southern Literature, he attended graduate studies at LSU before joining the publishing industry. He currently serves as the Vice President of Creative Services for HarperCollins Christian Publishers, but he's occasionally allowed to escape to Music Row to do a little voiceover work. He hopes to sound like Sam Elliot when he grows up.
