Amanda Conner began her professional art career as an illustrator
for New York City ad agencies.However, her love of comic books and
cartooning soon led her to the comics world where she initially
found work at companies such as Archie, Marvel and Claypool Comics.
Since then, she has worked on a number of high profile projects
spanning a variety of genres. Her works includeVampirella,
Painkiller Jane, as well as creator owned projects such
asGatecrasher(with co-creators Jimmy Palmiotti and Mark Waid)
andThe Pro(with co-creators Jimmy Palmiotti and Garth Ennis). Her
work for DC Comics includes CODENAME KNOCKOUT, BIRDS OF PREY,
TERRA, a well-regarded run on POWER GIRL and BEFORE WATCHMEN- SILK
SPECTRE. Amanda, along with her artist/writer/husband Jimmy
Palmiotti, and writer Justin Gray currently work together via
PaperFilms, a multimedia entertainment studio engaged in
screenwriting, art production and development.
Jimmy Palmiotti is a multi-award-winning writer and comic artist
and the co-founder of Event Comics, Black Bull Media, Marvel
Knights, and most recently PaperFilms, where he currently partners
with Amanda Conner and Justin Gray. Together they have created and
co-created- MONOLITH, 21 DOWN, THE RESISTANCE, and THE TWILIGHT
EXPERIMENT for DC Comics as well asThe New West, The Pro,
Gatecrasher, Beautiful Killer, Ash, Forager Trigger Girl 6, Random
Acts of Violence, Queen Crab, Trailblazer, Ballerina, and the soon
to be feature filmPainkiller Jane. Palmiotti s other comics work
includes POWER GIRL and JONAH HEX. His current work for DC includes
BATWING, ALL STAR WESTERN, STAR SPANGLED WAR STORIES FEATURING G.I.
ZOMBIE and HARLEY QUINN.
