Reviews

'This is a compelling and well-argued text...the author succeeds in giving a different perspective on the novels, disclosing a complexity and compassion for which Greene was not often credited and offers provocative and rewarding accounts of The End of the Affair and A Burnt-Out Case...an impressive critical study.' - Professor Neil Sinyard, University of Hull, UK 'The book can be highly recommended to all for its combination of enlightening analytical detail and width of literary and cultural reference.' - Gordon Leah, The Heythrop Journal
