A one-of-a-kind book celebrating the art, the creativity and - of course - the craft of New Zealand's most popular and experimental brewery, Garage Project.
In 2011 Pete Gillespie and Jos Ruffell left their day jobs and,
with help from Pete's brother Ian, transformed an old car garage in
Aro Valley, Wellington, to begin brewing just 50 litres at a
time.
Flash forward eight years and this canny enterprise is now New
Zealand's fastest-growing, most loved and widely celebrated
brewery, Garage Project, their beers stocked all over the country
and sought throughout the world.
In 2015, Garage Project topped the Deloitte's Fast 50 and more
recently they topped the Hottest 100 Kiwi Craft Beers poll at the
Great Australian Beer Spectapular festival.
Garage Project's aim is to create unique and beautiful beers.
They're well known for pushing boundaries, reinterpreting styles
and challenging the notions of what beer can be.
'Good things start in garages,' says head brewer and author Pete.
'But whether we're brewing 50 litres or 2000, we're still here to
take some risks, to have a bit of fun and to try something new.'
