About the Author

S. T. Tang is a Chartered Civil Engineer and teaches at the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hong Kong, M.Sc. degree in Construction Engineering from the University of Singapore, and Ph.D. degree from the Loughborough University of Technology, U.K. Dr. Tang had been in civil engineering practice with contracting/consulting firms and government departments for seven years before joining the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is currently teaching and doing research on construction management and economics, and has written over 80 journal/conference papers and books on subjects of his expertise.
