Recognised internationally for her expertise in quilting, Marci Baker enjoys sharing ideas that simplify the process of quilting. Enthusiasm and inspiration for quilting can be seen throughout her lectures, workshops, and books. These ideas and Marci’s simplifying methods have come together as Quilting with Marci Baker, inspiring today’s quilter. Marci spends much of the year travelling and teaching classes for quilting guilds and trade shows. She resides in Fort Collins, Colorado.
When you are sewing a 1/4" on a pattern when you take into account
the thread and fabric it's better if you have a scant 1/4" so that
it includes this. With this tool you can easily measure a scant
1/4" on your machine and if you use sewing edge strips you can make
sure all your projects are a scant 1/4". The tool also means
you can cut off the corners when you are quilting with 60 degree
triangles.
This means it's easier to sew them and then you don't have that
awful situation of all the seams coming together and creating a
lump. The tool is really easy to use
and very handy. As a quilter this is a tool I will use time and
again.
