About the Author

Forfatteren til denne bog, Bo Belvedere Christensen, har klatre- og bjergbestigningserfaring fra 30 Ã r i bjergene herunder ekspeditioner til Himalaya gennem de sidste 20 Ã r. Bo har ledet flere ekspeditioner til sÃ forskellige bjerge som Aconcagua (Andes), Kilimanjaro (Ã~stafrika), Elbrus (Kaukasus) samt Baruntse (7129m.) og andre bjerge i Himalaya. Bo debuterede som forfatter i 1990 som medforfatter af bogen "Ama Dablam, en bestigning af verdens smukkeste bjerg" udgivet pÃ Gyldendals forlag, senere var Bo sÃ vel redaktÃ, r som medforfatter pÃ "Everest, drÃ, mmen og sejren" udgivet pÃ Jyllandspostens forlag. Bo har desuden skrevet artikler til magasinet "Opdag Verden" (det tidligere Adventure World) og aviser: Berlingske Tidende, Politiken og flere andre. Bo skriver til og viser billeder pÃ hjemmesiden for dansk himalayaselskab (www.himalaya.dk) og sit eget firmas (www.k2-adventure.dk - billedgalleri: gallery.k2-adventure.dk. Bo er desuden kendt som fotograf og producent af flere adventurefilm sendt pÃ DR, DR2, TV2 og TV3 samt som foredragsholder.
