The bestselling autobiography of Albert Reynolds, former Taoiseach and key player in the Northern Ireland peace process.

About the Author

Born in Roosky, County Roscommon, in November, 1932, Albert Reynolds served as Ireland's eighth Taoiseach from 1992 to 1994 and was a pivotal player in the advancement of the Northern Ireland peace process during that time.

Reynolds was first elected to Dail ireann as a Fianna Fail TD for Longford-Westmeath in 1977 after an early career as a successful businessman, and continued to be re-elected as a TD until his retirement in 2002. He is married with seven children.

Reviews

Albert Reynolds charges at his life story in much the same way that he used to charge at politics. He tells it briskly, and with more accuracy and objectivity than one normally expects from politicians.
*Irish Independent*

By and large, the critics have been happy, whatever his other faults, to give Reynolds full credit for the first IRA ceasefire of August 1994...Reynolds provides new colour and texture to the story behind that momentous day.
