Reporter, wrangler, Iditarod musher Shelley Gill strives to write
books kids can relate to and have them say, "This is my favorite
book!" Gill lives in Homer, Alaska - a small fishing town on the
tip of the Kenai Peninsula with her daughter Kye and her
animals.
Shannon Cartwright, a native of Michigan says, "Finding Alaska was
the best thing that ever happened to me, this is my home." Shannon
lives 25 miles off the road in the Talkeetna Mountains. When not
doing her artwork, she spends her time traveling through the
mountains with her ponies and her dog, Cirrus.
