The Book of St John is too witty to be a manifesto, but it is a
sturdy invocation of the need for comfort, generosity and ritual at
the table. And it is a gurglingly delightful compendium of - quite
simply - delicious ideas and stories

Legendary and lovely. Long May it last

Fergus and Trevor are generous, infectious and wonderful human
beings, matched only by the restaurants they run. Their influence
on the British food scene in the last twenty years cannot be
rivalled by many others and this book is a true celebration of
their legacy

Fergus and Trevor know what’s good – everything! We should all
follow their example and learn to enjoy what we can, while we can.
I wouldn’t be who I am today without them

There was British food, and then there was St. JOHN. This wonderful
book celebrates twenty-five years of the radical, brave and
delicious world that is St. JOHN. Fergus has written that he is
more cosmic than earth bound. For me, he is both: a tree with roots
that are strong, with branches that reach up to the stars
