About the Author

Gill Rapley spent 20 years as a health visitor and was Deputy Programme Director of the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative. She has studied infant feeding and child development for many years. She lives in Kent with her husband, and has three grown-up children.

Tracey Murkett is a writer and journalist. She lives in London with her partner and their daughter.
