About the Author

Kristen Foley is a born-and-bred Wellington climber. In the late 1980s and early 1990s he served his climbing apprenticeship at Titahi Bay and Baring Head under the watchful eyes of Wellington climbing legends Phil Castle and Jon Rosemergy. Having graduated, he continues to crank around New Zealand and on fleeting visits to Europe and Asia. Kristen still lives in Wellington; he considers the capital city to be the powerhouse of New Zealand climbing.
