This is an amazing book! I could not put it down and I cried throughout. Nicholas Sparks is an amazing author. Very well written, Sparks has a remarkable way with words which helped me make a connection with the characters.

A walk to remember is yet another classic love story from author Nicholas Sparks. A beautiful tale of love and strength in the olden days, but also adapts to modern day times. Similar to the notebook in that it’s set in the past and that’s its based on two people from different worlds who’s worlds collide unexpectedly. Agreat moving book which also has a great movie based on it.

I have seen both the movie and read the book. I have to say, i liked the book better even though they were both similar. The book went more in depth with the characters and the 'walk' to remember is portrayed differently. I read the book in the plane and cried the whole way down the descent, it's a sad book but it is essentially beautiful. It makes you appreciate the smaller things in life.

I have read the story and watched the film. In my opinion the film was much better. This story is a sad one and I cried a lot, however; even though it was set in the 1950s, it seemed too innocent. Some things just don't seem realistic to me. But maybe its just because i was born in the 90s, and the film version is a more current version, wher the guys are a lot badder. The story itself is simply written. a boy from the rich but somewhat despised family falls in love with the daughter of the minister. Tragedy occurs and he learns a lesson about others and the girl changes his life forever.

what a sad tale! i cant get thru this without balling my eyes out. this book was kinda in the style of books like lurlene mcdaniel, ie a very very sad tale and you are attached to th characters and everything! tells the tale of a gurl with leukemia, and it is such a sad tale at that. you have been warned!!

The book goes into more depth of the characters, a little predictable on the outcome of Jamie. However in saying that it was very sad and i couldnt put the book down. The growth on Landons character was nice great to see a turnaround. I would say watch the movie as well you do pick up seperate things that arnt in the book.

I watched the movie as well as the read the book. I cannot decide which one is better. Even though the plot is very similar, there are still some very different things that happen in the book that you don't see in the movie. You read more character and depth into the characters in the book. I would definitely recommend that you read the book if you have seen the movie. When you read the end, you can understand why the book ended up being a walk to remember which you don't actually see in the movie. A great read, and I cried from the second half to the end:)

A walk to remember
I loved this book. I had seen the movie before and I thought that I would give the book a try. I was glad that I did because it was just so good. I think that you can learn more about the characters this way and you will appreciate them more. Very well written, five out of five stars.
