About the Author

Prudence Sutcliffe was Assistant Curator of the Print Room in the Royal Library, Windsor Castle, and is widely respected as the leading authority on the fans in the Royal Collection. Susan Mayor was head of the Textile Department and a Director of Christie's, South Kensington. She is well known as a writer and expert on fans and the associated fields of textiles, lace and costume. Jane Roberts is Librarian of the Royal Library, Windsor Castle, and has published widely on the prints and drawings in the Royal Collection.
