About the Author

Gene Shepherd is well known in the rug hooking world as teacher, blogger, designer, and author. He coauthored The Rug Hooker's Bible (978-1-881982-46-3) with Jane Olson, wrote Prodded Hooking for a Three-Dimensional Effect (978-1-881982-61-6), and produced a 2-DVD set called Rug Hooking: Learn at Home (978-1-881982-51-7). He is the director of the Cambria Pines Rug Camp (California), one of the best-known rug hooking camps in the country, and he travels frequently to teach nationally and internationally. He is a frequent contributor to Rug Hooking magazine and teaches and blogs from his home studio in Anaheim, California.
