About the Author

Gloria Meltzer was born in Melbourne. She has a BA in Social Sciences from Deakin University, has travelled extensively and worked as a freelance journalist for a variety of papers and magazines. Her first book, Poles Apart, was highly commended for the Wilke Literary Award. She is also the author of Whats Your Job Like?, Women of the Hills, Protesters, What A Life, The Street That Died Young, Minding Their Own Business, and Minding Her Own Business. She has two adult sons and four beautiful grand-children. She lives in a Victorian rural hamlet with her long term partner.
