About the Author

Dr Jane E. Hunt is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Society and Design, Bond University, Gold Coast, QLD. She has been lecturing for 15 years, and researching in the field of Australian cultural history for even longer. Hunt has published numerous academic journal articles, book chapters and entries, done some contract editing work, and as a member of the Balmoral Triathlon Club edited their newsletter, Pulse. Hunt followed her husband into the sport of triathlon in 2000 and found that the sport provided personal satisfaction, empowerment and an enjoyable active lifestyle. The history of triathlon in Australia project offered a perfect way of combining her interest and research.
