Reviews

Skip Garmo is a cogent thinker and graceful writer whose insights will inform the way you lead for as long as you are blessed with that privilege. If you're stuck in your ways and averse to change, enter this resource at your own risk. But if you can use a fresh treasure chest of ideas and inspiration, come running. ~Jerry B. Jenkins, Novelist & Biographer; Owner, Christian Writers Guild Finally---a book for leaders on the vital importance of Christian character---never more needed than today! While it is possible to repair a broken character, the eyes of others will always be on the spot where the crack appeared. My friend, Skip Garmo, challenges us to get a "grip" and maintain strong character so we can better enhance Christ's reputation in the world. ~Dan Busby, President, Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability Utilizing an almost "too close to home" parable, The Leader's Seecret reminds Christian leaders, through sound biblical principles, of real love (agape) and what it practically means to lead self, other, and community in the character of Christ. This is a "must read" for starting Christian leaders, and a definite read for those of us who need a seed of rejuvenation in our journey of Christian leadership. ~John Reynolds, Executive Vice President, Azusa Pacific University; Chairman of the Board, Christian Leadership Alliance The SEEcret will surprise and delight you. It's short in length and long on wisdom, with a memorable "that-could-have-been-me" story, yet applicable to almost anyone. Read it once---and you'll sense God's nudge. Then do a deep dive, with colleagues, and it could be career-changing and life-changing. It's insightful and will be a great help to ministry leaders. I wish I had understood this central theme 30 years ago. ~John Pearson, Board Governance & Management Consultant, John Pearson , Associates, Inc.; Author, Mastering the Management Buckets The Leader's Seecret is a different kind of book. Its brevity and unique nomenclature capture attention. The point of the book is strong: More important to God than doing "great things" for Him, is that Christian leaders be who He wants us to be. Thank you, Skip, for writing this book. ~ Bob Ricker, DMin, President (ret.), Baptist General Conference This book provides an insightful and thought provoking look at what it means to live in a Christlike manner with Christlike character. Based on his own many years of leadership as a pastor, mission, and ministry leader, Dr. Garmo carefully leads the reader through a process of enhancing one's own leadership through careful analysis and asking the "right" questions. ~Jim Canning, PhD, Cofounder, Christian Leadership Alliance; CFO (ret.), World Vision International Have you ever asked yourself, "What is life all about and is there a plan for my life?" The answer to that question is found in The Leader's Seecret by Skip Garmo. It's an insightful read that will focus your thinking on what is truly important in life. ~Bob Phillips, PhD, Best-Selling Author; Cofounder, Pointman Leadership Institute
