About the Author

I was born in Hednesford in the West Midlands and loved living in the county, racing over the fields, and jumping the brooks and streams. Then, when I was eight, we moved to Shelfield to be nearer my mother's family. I started work at the age of fifteen, straight from school. I married my much loved husband, Laurence, in the seventies and have two grown up daughters, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. But my pastime and interest has always been drawing and writing short stories and poems. I still love working as a care assistant.
