About the Author

Ulrike Tischler is a research assistant at the Department of History Karl-Franzens University, Graz. She studied History and Applied Cultural Studies and did postgraduate work in museology at the Reinwardt Academy, Amsterdam. From December 2005 she is director for the Austrian Science Foundation project at Karl-Franzens University, titled Transnational heritage in nationalized historiography.
