This book is worth a read. Anything that helps parents deal positively with their teenage children. Chapman suggests 5 "love languages", one of which will be the one your teenager responds most. For example, Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Quality Time, Acts of Service and Gifts. Theoretically once you find the right one and start to use it, they will feel more loved and cared for. I found the second part of the book even more helpful as it deals with some nitty gritty issues such as breaking destructive habits, forging constructive paths, independence and loving your teen through their successes and failures. There's also a good section on single and blended families. This is a book that offers practical help to parents. You will definitely come away with something that makes life with your teen even better!
