Reviews

Former DC detective Hannibal Jones, self-proclaimed troubleshooter, quickly locates Dean Edwards, the missing white fianc of a well-to-do black client. Dean has much to hide: his mother killed his father, he spent years in therapy, and his mother has just found him again after serving her time. Before he and his fiance can really reconcile, Dean discovers the murder of a co-worker, identical in method to that of his father. Did Dean's mother do it? Police blame Dean, of course, but Hannibal looks elsewhere. Nicely worked plot, constant action, and likable characters recommend this to larger collections.
