About the Author

Dr. Anurag K. Agarwal is a Mechanical Engineer from MNREC, Allahabad (now know as MNNIT). After working for less than a year with Bharat Petroleum, he decided to study law. Completed Bachelor, Master (Gold Medalist) and Doctor of Laws from the Lucknow University and a second Master of Laws from the Harvard Law School. Practised as an Advocate at Lucknow for about seven years and for about a year and a half at Delhi. Switched over to full-time teaching in 2004, with a brief stint at MDI Gurgaon. Prof. Agarwal has been with Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) since then in the Business Policy Area. Has been the Chairperson of the One Year Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Executives PGPX, Business Policy Area, and the Post Graduate Programme in Public Management and Policy PGP-PMP. Recipient of the “First Marti Mannariah Gurunath Outstanding Teacher Award 2013” at IIMA. Visiting faculty at National Judicial Academy Bhopal, Gujarat State Judicial Academy Ahmedabad andESSEC Paris. His teaching, consulting and research interests include contracts and arbitration, infrastructure and PPPs. Conducts executive education for the government, public sector and private companies. He is the Faculty Chair for the executive education programme “Legal and Regulatory Issues in Infrastructure”. Writes “Lawfully Yours”, a weekly column published in DNA Ahmedabad. Has authored two books: “Contracts and Arbitration for Managers” Sage 2016 and “Business and Intellectual Property” Random House 2010.
