Help Desk - Sell Yours

What is the 'Ship to Australia' option?

When listing a sell yours item for the first time, you are given the option to 'Ship to Australia'. If you choose to ship to Australia, all of your listings will be available for sale on Fishpond's Australian site, as well as

The sale price will be automatically calculated based on your sale price. The selling price will be increased by $5 to cover the cost of shipping to Australia, and 10% GST will be automatically added.

Australia imposes Goods and Services Tax (GST) on imported goods, which have a customs value of $1,000 or less (Low Value Imported Goods or LVIG). From July 1, 2018, Fishpond is required to calculate, collect and remit 10% GST on LVIG sold on by Sell Yours sellers that are shipping goods into Australia.

( Selling Price + Australian shipping & Handling Reimbursement $5 AUD + 10% GST)*AUD Exchange Rate = Sale Price (AUD)

For example, if you list a product for $10 NZD on, and the exchange rate at the time is 0.78, the sale price displayed on will be ($10.00)*0.78 + AUD $5.00 + 10% GST = AUD $14.08

If the item sells to a customer on, your payment will be the sale price less 10% commission and 10% GST.

( Sale Price -10% commission, and -10% GST)/AUD Exchange Rate = Your Payment (NZD)

For example, if the item sells on for AUD$14.08 your payment will be ($14.08 -1.28-1.28)/0.78 = NZD$14.77

You can choose to turn off this option at anytime by editing your Seller Information.
