  • Personnel: Pete Molinari (vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica); Ed Turner (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, percussion); B.J. Cole (dobro); Matt Radford (acoustic bass, electric bass); Rupert Brown (drums, percussion).
  • Audio Remasterer: Noel Summerville.
  • Recording information: Toe-Rag Studios, London, England.
  • Photographer: Alison Wonderland.
  • Although British singer-songwriter Pete Molinari is part of the coterie of musicians who record at Liam Watson's legendary Toe Rag Studios in London, a room prized for its attention to mid-'60s detail in its equipment and acoustics, he does not traffic in the wild garage rock that's most associated with the studio. A VIRTUAL LANDSLIDE is a note-perfect recreation of the sound of the birth of folk-rock circa 1965, when Bob Dylan, the Byrds, and others were grafting rock, jazz, and blues influences onto acoustic folk tunes. It's as brash and live-sounding as any of Molinari's compatriots' records.
Professional Reviews
Mojo (Publisher) (p.114) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "Suspended between a hollering Hand Williams and a road-worn Phil Everly, it rides effortlessly above the mellifluous arrangements with graceful ease."

Mojo (Publisher) (p.72) - Ranked #18 in Mojo's "The 50 Best Albums Of 2008" -- "[A] fresh and ageless exercise in time-travel."
