The band's 1996 album, VILE--a landmark in the genre, as it was the first death metal album to hit the Billboard charts--gets the deluxe reissue treatment here in celebration of Metal Blade Records' 25th anniversary. In addition to the digitally remastered original album--which, decades later, still shocks with its pummeling riffs, blast beats, scorched-earth vocals, and disgustingly gory lyrics (see "Orgasm Through Torture")--the package also contains an 18-track live DVD and expanded liner notes.
