Performer Notes
  • 2 LPs on 1 CD: TIM MOORE (1974)/BEHIND THE EYES (1975).
  • Liner Note Author: Gary Theroux.
  • The case for the Tim Moore/Behind the Eyes two-fer cannot be stated strongly enough. Tim Moore's first two albums represent his best work. Both familiar -- everyone from the Beatles to the Raspberries to Eric Carmen to Dan Fogelberg is referenced here -- and groundbreaking (his delivery skills and arrangement choices are spectacular), this is the place to discover a true pop master from the 1970s. Moore's first two recordings are saturated in form and content rather than merely production. The evidence is stellar pop cuts like "Love Enough" and "A Fool Like You" from the former album and "Rock and Roll Love Letter" and "If Somebody Needs It" from the latter. This is the way it should be done, and this collection is an inexpensive way to encounter a forgotten pop maestro. ~ Thom Jurek
